Experienced Children and Young People Support Worker
Contract: Agency
Pay rate: £15+ an hour (plus additional holiday pay)
Location: Swansea and surrounding areas

What will you be doing?
Your role will aid in delivering support to children and young people through meeting their personal needs and plans, however, you may at times be required to work with the families for additional support. You will need to be prepared to work 1:1 with those you're supporting, however, we find that often you will be supported on a 2:1 basis with other staff members. In addition, you will be providing emotional support and companionship and therefore require these transferable skills.
You can expand your experience and skills set with all the FREE training we provide in addition to the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients i.e. learning disabilities, mental health, homelessness etc. There's no fee to attend the training and no fee for you to obtain your certificate's - we're passionate about investing in you!
For this role it is essential you have 6 months experience working with children and young people
Requirements:
- 6 months UK based care experience in the last year OR a year in the last 5 years
- Right to work in the UK (we do not offer sponsorship)
- Willing to undergo DBS and reference checks
- Willing to undertake personal care
- To be approachable, friendly, proactive and engage with the services users
- Great communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
- Registered with Social Care Wales
