Job Description
Domestic Abuse Support Worker - Children and Young People
Hours: Monday - Friday (30 hrs)
Salary: £22,500 pro rata
Location: Ammanford

We are recruiting for an exciting opportunity with a charity that are supporting children and young people who have been subject to domestic abuse or have been witness to it.
We're looking for someone passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people affected by domestic abuse. In this role, you'll use creative methods to support their social development, empower them to recognise and address abuse, and advocate for their needs.
Key responsibilities include risk assessment, promoting positive parenting, facilitating access to services, and contributing to service improvement. You'll work within multi-agency partnerships, maintain confidential records, and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
We will need from you;
- Minimum of 2 years working with vulnerable children and young people.
- Minimum QCF Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant field or willingness to work towards one.
- Experience of working within the sector of disadvantaged families.
- Experience of needs assessment, risk assessment and risk management.
- Driver with access to your own vehicle
- A DBS on the update service is desirable but not essential
