Job Title: Secure Care Worker - No Experience Required!
Location: St Helens, Merseyside
Hours: 38 hours per week
Salary: £24,909 - £27,317 per year (pro rata)
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people?
Do you have a genuine interest in helping children and teens, even if you have no prior experience? If you're caring, compassionate, and ready to embark on a meaningful career, we want to hear from you!
We're looking for individuals with a passion for working with young people to join our team as Secure Care Workers in our Secure Children's Home. No formal experience is required, just a drive to support and inspire young people who may be facing difficult challenges. We'll provide all the training and support you need to succeed.
The Role:
As a Secure Care Worker, you will be a vital part of a dedicated team, helping young people aged 10 to 17 find stability and hope during difficult times. You'll be providing hands-on care and support, engaging with them in day-to-day activities, education, and health-related matters. You'll also have the chance to focus on either 'intervention work' or 'activity work', depending on your interests and strengths.
Your role will involve:
- Offering care and emotional support to young people in a secure environment
- Helping them build self-confidence and develop life skills
- Supporting their education, health, and independence
- Being a positive role model, making a lasting impact on their lives
No two days are the same in this role, and you'll need to be ready for a challenge. Our young people are unique individuals, and we're looking for someone who will treat them as such.
What We're Looking For:
- A genuine passion for working with young people
- An optimistic, caring, and compassionate attitude
- A commitment to making a positive impact, no matter how small
If you're enthusiastic about working with children and teens and ready to take on a rewarding role, this could be the perfect opportunity for you - experience isn't necessary, just the right mindset!
What We Offer:
- Comprehensive training and a supportive induction programme to help you thrive
- Group Personal Pension Scheme
- 30 days paid annual leave (including bank holidays)
- Career progression opportunities
- Access to discounts and benefits through the Blue Light Card scheme
- Life Assurance Scheme
- Enhanced parental leave (maternity, paternity, adoption, and shared parental leave)
- Occupational Sickness Scheme
- Regular supervisions and annual appraisals
Join our team and start a meaningful career where every day brings new challenges and the chance to make a real difference in a young person's life. Apply today and become a Secure Care Worker!
