Children's Support Worker - Challenging Behaviour

Contract: Agency - Part time and Full-time hours available
Pay rate: £14-18 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)
Location: Swansea and surrounding areas
Are you looking to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people?
Your role will aid in delivering support to children and young people through meeting their emotional, social, physical, and intellectual within their residential homes and out in the community. These individuals will be provided with a personal plan that will enable you to support the young people to have positive experiences while still integrating their boundaries and routine. You will need to be prepared to work 1:1 with those you're supporting, however, often you will be supported on a 2:1 basis with other staff members.
You will be required to take part in daily activities with the young people, so a driver with access to their own vehicle is preferred however not essential. To aid with this however, it is essential that you have attention to detail, great communication skills and are resilient. Ideally due to challenging behaviours, you will already have PBM training or equivalent, however we offer FREE training with FREE certificates provided to best support you within your roll! We're passionate about investing in you!
The ideal candidate will also have obtained QCF level 2 or higher, however this is not a requirement.
For this role it is essential you have 6 months UK based care experience working with children and young people
Requirements:
- 6 months UK based care experience in the last year OR a year in the last 5 years
- Right to work in the UK (we do not offer sponsorship)
- Willing to undergo DBS and reference checks
- To be approachable, friendly, proactive and engage with the services users
- Great communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
