Job Description

Job Title: Complex Needs Practitioner
Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum
Location: Birmingham

Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals affected by substance misuse? A leading charity in Birmingham and Solihull is seeking a dedicated Complex Needs Practitioner to join their dynamic team.

About the Role

This role focuses on delivering person-centred interventions to individuals impacted by substance misuse, including those affected by a family member's substance use. You will empower individuals to reduce risk, build resilience, and achieve positive, sustainable outcomes.

You will work holistically with individuals, their families, and community networks to address a wide range of well-being needs. These may include:

  • Knife crime prevention
  • Family support using the 5-Step Method
  • Exploitation and safeguarding
  • Physical and emotional health
  • Detoxification and rehabilitation
  • Intensive support for complex substance misuse cases

Key Responsibilities

  • Build trusting relationships with individuals and families affected by substance misuse
  • Manage a caseload of complex cases, ensuring accurate and timely case recording in line with GDPR and data protection policies
  • Develop co-produced, outcome-focused support plans tailored to individual strengths and goals
  • Coordinate multi-agency interventions to ensure timely and appropriate support
  • Participate in clinical case discussions and follow through on agreed actions
  • Advocate for access to wider treatment options and additional support services
