Job Description

Support Worker
Learning disability, complex health needs and life limiting conditions
From £10.90 plus enhancements
Knaresborough
HG5
Full and Part Time roles available

No experience or qualifications are needed because we will provide you with all of that, we just need you to be able to work as part of a great team, have great values and care about what you do

Shift pattern (for FTE)
39 Hours per week
3 x 10 hour shift & 1 x 9 hour shift
1 Week earlies @ 07.30am-17.30pm followed by 1 week late's @ 11.30am-21.30pm
2 weekends per month

This service has recently had some new individuals move in and join the family which has given us the opportunity to recruit for new support workers.

You will be providing support to nine amazing individuals with a learning disability, complex health needs and life limiting conditions.

We currently support 3 amazing ladies and 6 awesome gentlemen, between the ages of 19 and 50 with 6 being under the age of 25. They have a wide range of complex heath and support needs but we will provide you with all the specialist training and support you need to ensure you can support them to live their best lives, so no experience is required.

Responsibilities
" Supporting people to be as independent as possible and continuously developing their independence skills whilst being actively engaged in their lives.
" Helping people to pursue their interests and make the most out of every day.
" Enabling people to be active members of their communities, build their social networks and maintain meaningful relationships
" Cleaning
" Cooking
" Laundry
" Bathing
" Oral care
" Taking medication
" Activities and Trips away- Skiing, Clay making, visit Disney Land, Festivals, Night clubbing etc
