Domestic Abuse Support Worker

Ammanford

35 hours a week (Monday to Friday)

£22,500-£23,500 per annum

Fixed until 31 March 2026 (extension subject to funding)

Brook Street Social Care are recruiting on behalf of a well reputable domestic abuse charity in the Ammanford area. They are committed to building safe, resilient communities free from domestic violence and abuse. We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Domestic Abuse Support Worker to join the accommodation team and provide vital support to individuals and families in the refuge service.

The Role:

• Provide emotional and practical support to survivors of domestic abuse.
• Help maintain a safe and welcoming refuge environment.
• Assist with housing applications, benefit claims and financial administration.
• Facilitate house meetings and promote positive family relationships.
• Work closely with partner agencies, internal teams and support services.
• Ensure health and safety standards are upheld at all times.

What you will need:

• Passion for supporting individuals affected by domestic abuse.
• Strong communication, organisational and IT skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and take part in an on-call rota.
• Experience in domestic abuse support or housing services
