Job Description
A well established and reputable organisation is looking for a Waking Night Support Worker for their residential children home in Thornbury, Bristol. You will be working with children between the age of 6 - 19 year olds who have special educational needs (SEN), Autism, OCD, epilepsy and will display challenging behaviour.
Main Job Role:
- Acting as a professional parent and role model
- Support children with morning and bedtime routines
- Cleaning and prep through the night
- Being on hand if children wake up
- Paperwork / admin duties
- Ensuring safety and wellbeing of children throughout the night
- The company believes in Positive Behaviour Management (PBM) and therapeutic approach like team teach 2 and MAPPA
- Full personal care required from bathing, grooming and getting dressed etc
Qualifying candidates:
- Must have previous experience in challenging behaviour or EBD / attachment disorder
Contract / terms:
- Salary is £17,675 - £20,200 per annum
- Full time (39 hours a week) Mondays to Friday plus alternative weekends
- 78 hours over a 2 week shift. Shifts patterns are 8:30pm - 7:30am on weekdays and may include some weekends from 8:30pm - 8:00am
- You will work 44 week out of 52 weeks per year
