Job Description

Job role: Health and Social Care Trainer


Sector: Learning disabilities and associated complex needs

Location: Leicester central office, with requirement to travel within Derbyshire, Leicestershire, West Midlands, and Manchester

Salary: £30,000 and a favourable paid mileage rate


*** Full UK driving licence and own vehicle is essential ***


I am seeking a skilled and experienced Health and Social Care Trainer to join an established learning disabilities provider who is committed to the delivery of person-centred care and support for adults across the West and East Midlands.

You will work closely with new team members to deliver their full induction, as well as continued training, whilst ensuring training is up to date for existing staff members.

You will split your time between the Leicester office and out on services across Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Manchester, and the West Midlands.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:
" To contribute to the delivery of inductions to new recruits including safeguarding, medication, autism, and CPI.
" To deliver refresher training and ensure all training logs and documents are up to date.
" To deliver CPI foundation and advanced and emergency courses across all our services.

To be considered for this role, you must:
" Be a proactive person who can use your own decision making.
" Have strong knowledge and experience of using PBS and of Trauma informed care.
" Be able to demonstrate legal and professional framework knowledge consistent with current national standards, restrain reduction network, & human rights.
" Have current and up to date CPI training.
" Have a good attitude and work ethic.
" Be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
" Have good communication skills.
" Have a desire to genuinely help other people and make a difference.
