Job Description
One of the leading Children services in the UK are recruiting for Male Outreach Support Workers in Bristol. You will be supporting a 17 year old client who has complex needs, ADHD, autisim, anxiety and verbal challenging behaviour.
Main Job Role:
- This is a professional parental role (lone working) offering therapeutic / emotional support
- You will support them with managing their tenancy, claiming benefits, job-hunting and help with alternative education
- Support them out and about in the community
- If clients become challenging then support workers will need to remove themselves from the situation and call the police or the on-call manager if required.
Qualifying candidates:
- Male candidates only due to client needs
- Must have an online DBS on the update service (call DBS on 0300 0200190 to check if it is as it costs £13 a year)
- Available to start before Christmas
- Have a year's experience in the care industry
- Must have a driving license with your own car
- You will be required to add Business insurance to your insurance
- Willing to travel upto 1 hr & 30mins (you will get paid your mileage after 10 miles commute)
Contract / Terms:
- Salary is £17,326.40 and upto £23,840 with sleep-ins per annum = £8.33 an hour
- You may do 1 - 2 sleeps per week which are paid at £62.64 per sleep = £3,257 - £6,514 per year
- You will get your rota 1 week in advance
- Shift patterns vary but typically are between 7am - 11pm and sleeps are 11pm till 7am
- We offer upto 40 hours per week from Mondays to Fridays + alternative weekends
- Mileage is paid at 25p per mile
