Job Description

Exciting opportunity for a Night support Worker to work for an established Specialist supported living and residential services for people with severe learning disabilities and complex needs.

The Role includes:
- Assist in the care of all service users through the delivery of individual planned care programmes. This will include interaction with the service users, personal care, moving and handling, and assisting with eating and drinking.
- Promote the independence and dignity of service users, having an understanding of care planning and risk assessment.
- Assist in enabling service users to have a comfortable nights sleep.
- Report both verbally and in writing on service users general condition and wellbeing, including maintaining relevant records and care plans as required. Maintain accurate records as per systems in place.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for service users and staff. Ensuring all health and safety, food safety and infection control procedures are followed, including the completion of job sheets and hand over sheets.
- Ensure the home is secured during the shift as stated in the working alone waking watch risk assessment.
- To ensure the safe use of relevant equipment and report any problems to the senior person on shift.
- Ensure the home is kept tidy and complete any required housekeeping.
- Act as chaperone for medical and professional staff as may be required.

- Experience of supporting adults with complex needs and learning difficulties
- Car driver with full UK driving license
