Job Role: Nursery Room Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced Room Manager to support our client based in Daventry. Our client is a leading provider of quality child day care within the area, and they are very committed to deliver a safe, secure, and friendly setting for the infants. An Outstanding Ofsted record with capacity for up to 56 children between 3 months and 8 years of age.
Shift Pattern: Hours & Shift Pattern: 40 hours per week between the hours of 07.30 - 18.00 on a rotating shift basis
Your responsibilities:
Some of your responiblities would be:
* Supporting the learning and education of children aged 3 months to 5 years, ensuring the team follows the EYFS curriculum and maintains high standards.
* Collaborating with the Deputy and Nursery Manager to promote excellence and achieve established goals.
* Fulfilling designated coordinator roles such as 'British Values,' 'Communication,' SEND, Inclusion Officer- INCo, Safeguarding, and Behaviour.
* Supporting the day-to-day operations to provide the best environment and care for young children and their families.
* To champion equal opportunities, ensuring the inclusion and fair treatment of all children without bias or discrimination.
* Understanding of Health & Safety legislation and act accordingly if any issue arise.
* Encourages activities that advance children to the next stage of learning, fosters new opportunities for critical thinking and problem-solving, and poses open-ended questions to promote engagement.
* Adhering to Policies & Procedures, ensuring compliance with the Children's Act, Health and Safety legislation, OFSTED guidelines, and National Standards.
* Providing support, development opportunities, and feedback, conducting staff performance reviews and addressing training needs.
* Efficiently managing and organizing the room, serving as a role model for staff, and being the primary point of contact for guidance on assessments and EY Log observations.
Qualifications and requirements
* Hold a childcare qualification at Level 3 or higher.
* Possess knowledge in child protection and safeguarding.
* Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the EYFS curriculum.
* Have practical experience in working with children.
* Capable of developing diverse learning techniques and familiar with various educational theorists.
* Show understanding of different Special Educational Needs (SEND) and the ability to support individual children accordingly.
