Job Description

Senior Carer - Permanent 28-Hour Contract
Location: Burton On Trent
Hours: 28 hours per week, including a mix of shifts: 7:30am - 3:00pm, 2:30pm - 10:00pm, and 11:30am - 7:00pm, with every other weekend.
Hourly rate: £13.10 per hour

In partnership with an established residential care setting in Burton On Trent, I am seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Carer to join their team on a permanent 28-hour contract.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Provide high-quality care and support to our residents
- Administer medication and complete in-service medication competencies
- Conduct and contribute to care planning and risk assessments
- Liaise confidently with professionals, including GPs, nurses, and social workers
- Participate in moving and handling training and adhere to best practices
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- 70% of the role involves office-based tasks, requiring good computer skills (training provided)

Requirements:

- Proven experience within elderly care
- NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care or Care Certificate
- Ability to work a set rota and cover specific shifts
- Medication training
- Moving and handling training
- Ability to reliably commute to the service for required shifts
- Knowledge of care planning and risk assessments
- Confident in liaising with various professionals
