Primary SEN Teacher
Croydon based
£32,225 - £43,446 + exceptional benefits package
We are working with a leading provider of specialist, therapeutic education services to children & young people aged 5 to 19 on their search for a Primary QTS Teacher, ideally specialising in English OR Maths for their independent school based in Croydon, Surrey
This College, which is spread out over a number of smaller sites to aid the SEMH teaching practices - which include highly personalised, academic, creative, sporting and vocational learning opportunities and activities - which support students to develop a range of skills and learning outcomes.
This school specifically supports children & young people with SEMH who may also have difficulties with ADHD, ODD and ASD, attachment disorder, PDA, Anxiety, SEHM and SEBD and trauma . Therefore, the way teaching is delivered is through a rich variety of educational provisions to ensure the best possible outcomes for each individual.
With a maximum of 5 students in each classroom, with 2 teaching assistants as well as 5 individualised classrooms for those children requiring 2:1 support there is a real opportunity to develop individualised teaching and development plans and to offer personalised education plans.
We are looking for a QTS Teacher for a KS1 & KS2 independent school, who is passionate about supporting and teaching individuals to achieve the best possible outcome through a rich spectrum of education and personalised provisions to meet their needs.
All teachers are fully supported by the SLT, Sendco and therapy team. challenging and would need a creative approach
The ideal candidate will have
- QTS or equivalent
- Experience of working with pupils either KS1 or KS2
- Understanding of EYFS
- A knowledge of working with pupils with multiple needs
- An ability to create fun, engaging and person centred lessons.
