Registered Manager - Domiciliary
Barry, Wales | £35,000 - £38,000 per annum | Monday to Friday, Full-Time
Are you an experienced care manager ready to lead a service into its next exciting chapter?
Brook Street Social care are supporting a values-led care provider undergoing significant expansion. Following a recent acquisition, they are seeking a dynamic and strategic Registered Manager to take full operational leadership of their Barry branch. This is a rare opportunity to shape a service from the ground up, stabilising existing domiciliary care operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead full operational delivery of domiciliary care services, embedding person-centred and high-quality practices.
- Drive the development of supported accommodation, from registration to implementation.
- Ensure CIW compliance, robust care planning, risk management, and safeguarding protocols.
- Build and lead a high-performing team, embedding their culture and values.
- Oversee rota planning, staffing, financial management, and performance monitoring.
- Act as a strategic figurehead-developing relationships with commissioners, CIW, and external stakeholders.
- Manage out-of-hours responsibilities as part of the leadership on-call rota.
What we will need from you
- Minimum 3 years' experience managing domiciliary or supported living services.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or willingness to complete).
- Proven track record of leading services through CIW inspections.
- Strong operational, compliance, and team management skills.
- Budgeting and financial acumen.
- Knowledge of Welsh legislation, safeguarding, DoLS/MCA.
- Confident communicator and competent with digital care systems.
- Driver with access to a vehicle.
- Experience with commissioner engagement and service growth would be a great advantage.
