Job Opportunity: Residential Children Support Worker - Liverpool
Location: Liverpool
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Shift Pattern: 2 on 4 off inclusive of sleeps (minimum 8 sleeps per month)
Salary: £12.21ph plus £60 per sleep
Brook Street Social Care are proudly supporting a children's residential service based within Liverpool.
This service is a respected and nurturing provider of residential care for children and young people across the North West with a mission to create safe, supportive, and therapeutic environments where children can thrive emotionally, socially, and academically. They specialise in working with children who have experienced trauma, emotional and behavioural difficulties, or complex needs.
As part of their expanding team in Liverpool, we are looking for compassionate and dedicated Residential Children Support Workers who are committed to making a real difference in young lives.
The Role
As a Residential Children Support Worker, you will play a vital role in the daily care and development of children and young people aged between 7 and 17. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing emotional and physical support in a homely, safe environment
- Supporting children with daily routines, personal development, and education
- Promoting positive behaviour and responding to challenging situations with empathy and consistency
- Building trusting relationships and acting as a positive role model
- Working closely with colleagues, families, and external professionals to create personalised care plans
- Ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding, health, and well-being are upheld at all times
What We're Looking For:
To be considered for this role, candidates must hold one of the following (or equivalent):
- Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or Children and Young People's Workforce)
- Previous experience working with children in residential care or similar settings
- A full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential)
- Strong communication, resilience, and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for helping children overcome adversity and reach their full potential
