Job Description

Exciting opportunity for a Senior Support Worker to work for an established Specialist supported living and residential services for people with severe learning disabilities and complex needs.

  • £300 yearly bonus paid every year (before Christmas),
  • 30, 35 or 40-hours contracts working hours between 8am - 10pm,
  • Alternative weekends working

The Role includes:

  • Lead and supervise staff teams to ensure the delivery of day-to-day support to service users.
  • Assist the Registered Manager in general care and health care administration tasks, including arranging cover for staff holidays and absences, involvement in individual care plans, health action plans, risk assessments, new service user admissions, service user review meetings, and being part of an 'on call' rota.
  • Participate in and supervise Lifestyle activities for service users within the service and the community.
  • Support with personal care and administration of medication.

About You:

  • Compassionate and committed to making a difference to vulnerable adults with severe learning difficulties and complex needs
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Excellent communicator -both written and verbal skills.
  • Positive and 'Can-Do' attitude
  • Ability to empower others
  • Experience of supporting adults with complex needs and learning difficulties
  • Experience working in a supervisory role
  • Car driver with full UK driving license
