Job Description

Support Worker: 1:1 Supported Living (12-hour contract)

Contract: 12 hours a week (2 days a week, 9.30-3.30 )

Pay rate: £10.42 - £13 per hour (PAYE) *subject to change with minimum wage in April 2024*

What will you be doing?

Your role will be supporting a young gentleman in his early 20's with autism and ADHD for 6-12 hours a week where you must always engage and supervise the gentleman. The ideal candidate will be happy participate in outdoor activities as the individual is highly active and often uses an activity timetable that may include bike riding, swimming, and climbing. You will be required to always be engaged with the gentleman as occasionally they may wander off when out in the community.

You will be added to a weekly rota that is ongoing, but you are more than welcome to pick up other agency work around this. Please note that with this role, you may often be 1:1 with the individual and therefore must be happy with lone working. Due to the needs of the individual, you will need to be a driver with access to your vehicle but milage can be expensed whenever you use your vehicle on shift.

Requirements:

  • Driver with access to your own vehicle
  • 6 months UK based care experience in the last year OR a year in the last 5 years
  • Right to work in the UK (we do not offer sponsorship)
  • Willing to undergo DBS and reference checks
  • Willing to undertake personal care
  • To be approachable, friendly, proactive and engage with the services users
  • Great communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
