Job Description

Job Overview:

Brookstreet is looking for compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Support Workers, specializing in care for people with learning disabilities and autism. As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing personalized care and support to individuals, promoting their independence and enhancing their quality of life.

Responsibilities:

Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.

Foster a positive and inclusive environment, promoting the well-being and social integration of individuals.

Implement and follow personalized care plans, ensuring the unique needs of each individual are met.

Support Individuals In Developing Essential Life Skills And Independence.

Monitor and report on the physical and emotional well-being of individuals.

Monitor and helps in medication.

Effectively communicate with individuals, their families, and the care team.

Facilitate access to daily community activities such as walking daycare, swimming, dancing, and more.

This addition emphasizes the support for individuals to engage in various community activities, contributing to their overall well-being and social inclusion.

Qualifications:

Previous at least 6 months experience in a similar role or a background in healthcare, social work, or related field.

Knowledge and understanding of learning disabilities and autism.

Ability to provide compassionate and person-centered care.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.

Ability to work collaboratively within a team and independently when necessary.

Relevant certifications or training in health and social care.

Requirements:

Must pass background checks and relevant screenings.

DBS on update service will make the process faster if you don't have it you should be ready to pay for the new DBS.

Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Valid driver's license Or access to reliable transportation (good to have).
