Job Description

Exciting opportunity for a Support Worker to work for an established Specialist supported living and residential services for people with severe learning disabilities and complex needs.

Specialist training. Some examples include;Specific medication training, autistic spectrum disorder, and intensive interaction,

- 30, 35 or 40-hours contracts working hours between 8am - 10pm,
- Alternative weekends working
The Role includes:
- Assist in the care of all service users in all aspects of daily living.
- Promote independence and dignity of the service user.
- General housekeeping and cooking, ensuring that the service is a homely, clean and safe.
- Completing care records, lifestyle records and other required paperwork as and when required.
- Ensure the safe use of equipment and report any problems to the senior person on shift.
- Work within the policies, procedures and guidelines of the service's quality management system whilst always maintaining confidentiality.
- Any other such duties as may be from time to time required to ensure the safe running of the service and delivery of appropriate care to service users.
About You:
- Compassionate and committed to making a difference to vulnerable adults with severe learning difficulties and complex needs
- Flexible and adaptable
- Excellent communicator -both written and verbal skills.
- Positive and 'Can-Do' attitude
- Ability to empower others
- Experience of supporting adults with complex needs and learning difficulties
- Car driver with full UK driving license
