πŸ“ Location: Weston-super-Mare (Single-Occupancy Flats) πŸ“… Temporary Role, Β£12.50 per hour + sleep in | Flexible Hours πŸ’Ό Agency: Brook Street Social Care.

πŸ’¬ Help Young People Take Their First Steps to Independence

We're recruiting passionate Support Workers to guide young people (16+) as they transition out of care and into independent living. You'll be supporting them in their own flats, helping build confidence, life skills, and a sense of self-sufficiency.

🧠 What You'll Be Doing

  • Prompting with daily tasks: cooking, cleaning, laundry, filling in forms

  • Encouraging independence and routine

  • Supporting emotional wellbeing and resilience

  • Promoting safe medication habits (where needed)

  • Handling verbal challenges and emotional behaviours with care

  • Lone working-but always part of a supportive team

πŸ™Œ What You'll Need

βœ… 1+ year experience supporting young people βœ… Level 3 qualification in Children & Young People βœ… DBS on the Update Service (preferred) βœ… Energy, compassion, and a "can do" attitude βœ… Confidence, resilience, and strong communication skills βœ… No sponsorship available

This is a highly person-centred service supporting care leavers as they prepare for full independence. The team is caring, committed, and dedicated to helping each young person thrive. Most placements last 6-12 months, with the goal of moving into unsupported tenancies.
