Job Description
Youth Tutor (Teaching and Learning Assessor)
South Wales
£26,200 to £28,800
Brook Street are offering an exciting opportunity for a Youth Tutor to provide teaching and assessment to learners aged 16-19 to complete an employability course. The role will be to ensure the attainment of positive outcomes by delivering a classroom and vocational assessment and training.
The successful candidate will have experience delivering Essential Skills Qualifications up to level 2 and hold a full UK driving licence with use of own vehicle. You will have knowledge of ESW requirements and the training industry. You will be an excellent communicator, IT literate, have Literacy and Numeracy skills, excellent organisation and administration skills and ability to work effectively within a team.

The Role:
- Help learners with their course work in group workshops or one-to-one sessions.
- Make sure learners finish their qualifications on time.
- Register learners for the right qualifications.
- Set up, run, and supervise assessments (controlled tasks) following the rules of the awarding body.
- Handle all teaching and admin tasks, including preparing, marking, and record-keeping.
- Attend meetings and training events to stay up to date and ensure consistent standards.
- Fully support learners throughout their qualification.
- Maintain high-quality standards set by both internal and external assessors.
- Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all assessments.
- Make sure learner outcomes are clearly shown and well-documented.
- Check that all learner paperwork is completed on time and correctly, showing real progress.
- Travel within your region to meet with learners at different locations.
- Help plan, track, and achieve performance goals.
- Keep improving and updating learning materials and resources.
- Work closely with your team to plan and deliver qualifications.
- Build and maintain good relationships with both learners and coworkers
