Family Support Worker - Redhill
Permanent | Full Time | £27,531 per annum

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children, young people, and families? We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and experienced Family Support Worker to join a dedicated team in Redhill, supporting families with complex needs through a strengths-based approach.

About the Role:

As a Family Support Worker, you will play a key role in delivering comprehensive, fair, and compassionate support and assessments. You will be responsible for daily family monitoring, attending appointments, facilitating group work, administering medication, and contributing to care planning and safeguarding practices. You will also collaborate closely with childcare staff and participate in team meetings and supervisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support families with their daily routines and activities

  • Escort families to external appointments and facilitate group sessions

  • Administer medication and maintain accurate case records

  • Supervise family contact and observe care tasks

  • Contribute to multi-agency meetings and planning

  • Prioritise safeguarding and respond effectively to crisis situations

What We're Looking For:

  • A minimum Level 3 qualification in social care (NVQ, CACHE Dip, etc.)

  • Experience working directly with children, young people, and families

  • Strong emotional intelligence and excellent communication skills

  • Ability to implement support plans and offer both practical and emotional support

  • Solid understanding of child development, attachment theory, and risk assessment

  • Strong organisational skills and a team-oriented approach

  • Ability to work independently while upholding high standards of record-keeping and GDPR compliance
