Recovery Worker - Adults Mental Health



Location: Penrith, 30 hours per week

If so, this may be the role for you!

Working for a leading charity who support people with mental health, drug & alcohol and housing issues, we are seeking a Recovery Worker to join their team in Penrith. This organisation is committed to making a positive impact in the lives of individuals facing mental health challenges.

The role & responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to individuals experiencing mental health issues at the supported accommodation service, and out in the community.
  • Support clients to help create support plans unique to their needs.
  • Conduct regular assessments and reviews of client progress.
  • Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and progress.
  • Encourage and motivate clients to engage in their recovery journey.
  • Work flexibly on a 30 hour per week contract which may include weekends and working early and late shifts.
  • Provide support to residents with attending appointments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in supporting adults with mental health issues or within similar settings
  • Knowledge of housing support services and community resources.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with mental health issues.
  • Relevant qualifications in health and social care, such as NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care.
  • Car driver with access to own vehicle.
