Job Description
Children's Deputy Manager - Knowsley, Liverpool
Brook Street Social Care are proud to be working alongside and supporting a leading organisation dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of children and young people. With a strong focus on professional development and a collaborative work environment, we are looking for a passionate Deputy Manager to join a dynamic team in Liverpool.
Shift pattern: 2 on 4 off, with some days likely needed within the office on a 9am to 5pm basis
Hourly Rate: £14.14 - £16,16 per hour - dependent on experience and qualifications
£60 per sleep - minimum of 10 sleeps per month
Job Responsibilities
- Assist the Children's Deputy Manager in overseeing daily operations within the residential setting, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and company policies.
- Support the planning and delivery of personalised care plans tailored to each child's needs and circumstances.
- Supervise and motivate a team of care staff, fostering a positive and professional working environment.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times, adhering to safeguarding procedures and protocols.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to enhance service quality.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to children's care, incidents, and staff supervision.
- Participate in staff training and development activities to ensure team competence and compliance with best practices.
- Build strong relationships with children, their families, and external agencies to support holistic care and support plans.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Children's Care, Learning and Development or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience working within a children's residential setting or similar environment.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and child protection legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Proficient in maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Relevant first aid certification is desirable.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts as required.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to residential care settings.
- Demonstrated commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
